For many, during the childhood days, the local environmental associations visited our schools, and to cooperate with their program, we sworn the words of becoming more ecologically friendly. However, not many of us took the action to demonstrate what we promised.
Through this realization and in order to remind us all, a visual demonstration of the commitment we guaranteed to the people who care about the wildlife was created through the artificially created objects (mainly plastic), and wild marine life, which both are shown in a shape of a pinky promise. The two pinkies that latch onto each other display the unspoken promise of a cleaner and better environment we have promised to the marine life.
The plastic pollution has definitely been a detrimental cause to a devastating loss to our wildlife, and the photos of the animals affected by these pollutions evoke sorrow for the animals that were lost. In order to prevent this tragedy from occurring further, we must constantly remind ourselves the words we promised and take action. Promises, no matter how small or long ago, is still something we should be obligated to accomplish especially with the amount of animal casualties we have created.
