Reflection

I was interested in doing this scholarship because for the past year I have been more involved and aware with the issue of climate change. One day, my friend told me how climate change could greatly affect the Philippines, which personally affected me as most of my family lives there. In addition, after learning what the increase of climate change means for us as a population in the future, I was scared. This motivated me to educate more people on the topic and live a lifestyle that is more environmentally conscious. Today, I reduce my usage of plastics by using reusable items, I eat much less meat, and I go out of my way to do more research on how to reduce my carbon footprint.
