Reflection
Global warming is easily one of the most critical issues of our lifetime. While reading about this widely-debated problem, I realized that most of the focus and concerns in regards to global warming were on its relationship to humans; that few are truly concerned about the state of our earth and its ocean and how we can help undo the tremendous damage we have caused. I also realized how truly astronomical the damage we have caused is and how swiftly our world is slipping away. As humans, I believe we have a moral obligation to stop the damage and rebuild our ecosystems, as we are the only organisms with the capacity to do so. There is still time! The corals have not yet faded completely to white; the animals have not yet become stone; the Earth has not yet completely melted. I aimed to display how our own earth, though it may seem normal, is changing in a colossal way; how our focus and priority should be less toward money, but more accurately directed to concern for our organisms and ocean. On the contrary, every one of us can make a change and help restore hope for the world and the valuable organisms within it. I hope for my work to portray that and inspire people to save our precious Earth.
