Reflection
My painting exposes the brutality of pollution and its sacrificial victims. I seek to explore cases of pollution, effects of pollution, and those who are inflicted with it. My painting portrays the pollution that harms the innocent people in Africa especially. This African boy represents an innocent victim who has been exposed to polluted water, which is caused by factors such as plastic, trash, and indiscreet city developments. The problem of the ocean pollution affects every nation around the world, as water is able to transport pollute from one location to another. For decades, chemicals, not only trash, were dumped into bodies of water imprudently. While many countries have now banned such vandalism, it continues to go on today. My piece is deeply concerned about the world's industrialization and its ever-growing population; water pollution has been intensified with such developments. Due to this, what our oceans will look like in the future is nebulous. Just how damaged they will be by pollution is immeasurable.
