The music I created was based on oceans themselves since the condition of the oceans affects the species living in them. The music compares the oceans now to the future because oceans will change drastically in the future if we don’t do something about climate change. Not only will the sea levels rise, but the overall ocean will change in the future; the temperatures will rise, and the oceans will become greener due to algae. The song starts with a calm and mystical vibe because I view oceans as this vast, mysterious place. Around halfway, you hear this minor version of the calming sounds used to represent the ocean before, and this acts like a warning of something bad. After this halfway point, there is this brief period where you just hear the underlying melody, and this represents how the warning was ignored. After the last period of calmness, there is a countermelody that is introduced and creates this eerie feeling and overpowers the underlying melody. After the countermelody, the calmness is quickly washed away and replaced with stress. The song goes downhill after the warning sounds, representing how not fixing a mistake earlier can stir up more long-term problems.
