Climate Hero: Amy Keller
Reflection

We waste food in our daily lives. I throw out my food half of the time and would even buy food that I would not eat causing it to rot on the counter, I recently realized that this was a big issue. My painting is about Amy Keller, the CEO of Climate Candy who turns unmarketable produce into healthy candy. I wanted to show Amy’s approach to dealing with climate issue, to me was very spontaneous and fun like in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the images I got from her operation was filled with bright colours and children’s smiles. Even though I haven’t seen the actual factory, I imagine the operation would be full of hopeful futures and enthusiastic minds. I hope she makes an impact on people’s lives like she did to me.
