Film Screening: Paris to Pittsburgh
November 19, 2019
Dedham, MA

Bow Seat, in partnership with RISE Documentary Films, is proud to screen Paris to Pittsburgh, a National Geographic Documentary narrated by award-winning actress and activist Rachel Brosnahan.

From coastal cities to America’s heartland, Paris to Pittsburgh celebrates how Americans are demanding and developing real solutions in the face of climate change. And as the weather grows more deadly and destructive, they aren’t waiting on Washington to act. Americans are determined to uphold their end of the Paris Climate Agreement, with or without Washington’s help. Paris to Pittsburgh shows how disconnected Washington is from the American people on climate change, and how communities across the country are taking action to confront the severe health and economic threats it poses.

We will be joined at the screening by guest speaker Rev. Mariama White-Hammond, Pastor at New Roots AME Church and advocate for ecological & social justice, youth engagement, and Spirit-filled organizing. Rev. Mariama is very committed to engaging the faith community, and particularly Black church on climate change and ecological justice issues. Rev. Mariama serves on both local and national boards and committees like the New England Grassroots Environmental Fund, Union Capital Boston and Clean Water Action.
