World Oceans Day Festival at the New England Aquarium

At this year’s event, which will focus on eliminating single-use plastics, Bow Seat will be featuring student artwork from our Ocean Awareness Contest that inspires dialogue and action around plastic pollution. We also will have a “mural” of the painting “Plastic Whale” by Dafne Murillo, the first visual art scholarship winner of the Contest back in 2014. Visitors can contribute to the mural by coloring in pieces of plastic they encounter on a daily basis.

All activities are free, open to the public, and do not require Aquarium admission! More Info
