Dimitri Suriel

In his creative journey, Dimitri Suriel uses the mediums of poetry and photography to explore the dynamics of family bonds and the ongoing process of personal growth. His work is rooted in the connections he shares with his community and the formative experiences of his childhood. As he moves through both joyful and painful memories, love emerges as the unifying thread, allowing him to weave together the diverse elements of his life in pursuit of meaning and understanding. His work has been featured in Worcester Magazine, Acentos Review, and the Sims Library of Poetry. He has received support from MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program and was awarded the Emerging Writer Fellowship from GrubStreet.
