Isidora Popovic

Štajerska, Slovenia

Isidora is an artist and environmental advocate devoted to humanitarian work and building inclusive, compassionate communities through volunteering, art, and leadership. She volunteers at a refugee day care center, providing counseling, academic guidance, and creative workshops to support children from diverse backgrounds in adapting to new educational environments. As the founder of her school’s Eco Club, she leads sustainability initiatives that connect environmental action with social justice and student engagement. Through nationally and internationally exhibited paintings, she raises awareness of global social and environmental issues, particularly maritime and coastal pollution, shaped by growing up in a coastal town. She is also an organizer of the Special Olympics initiative, coordinating art workshops for children with disabilities. In collaboration with UNICEF Slovenia, she contributes to the Rag Doll exhibition, which has helped provide life-saving vaccinations to over 22,500 children worldwide. Aside from her activism, you will catch her reading Eastern literature and researching wabi-sabi philosophy of art.
