Kellen Vu

Kellen Vu is a medical student at Weill Cornell Medicine and a graduate of Stanford University, where he studied Human Biology and Computer Science. Before entering medicine, he worked as a software engineer in digital health.

Outside of medicine, Kellen continues to write music and poetry. In both patient care and environmental advocacy, his experiences have reinforced the idea that information alone is often not enough; the way something is communicated can fundamentally shape how people engage with it, whether that means participating more actively in their own care or taking action on environmental issues in their communities. As an alumni judge for Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, he is excited to see students use art to make environmental issues feel more personal, immediate, and human.
