Rafael Bonilla Abad from Ecuador is studying engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. He has been involved in environmental conservation efforts since 2018 in his native Ecuador, and served for one year (2025) in Bow Seat’s Future Blue Youth Council. Having lived in the USA (Champaign, IL), Ecuador (Guayaquil) and Germany (Berlin, Karlsruhe) gives Rafael an intercultural perspective that he leverages in his environmental efforts. In his free time he likes reading, watching movies and playing the guitar with friends.
