Shamsuddeen Muhammad Abdulkareem

Shamsuddeen is a passionate environmental advocate from Nigeria. He has led initiatives like the Green Fingers Gardening Club, Young Voices Engaged, and founded Eco Poets in 2023, using poetry to promote climate education in Northern Nigeria. Shamsuddeen’s groundbreaking work at Eco Poets has attracted recognition, including selection as one of eight youth-led projects worldwide by the Bow Seat in 2024. He has also received a student mini-grant from the Wayfinder Society to address plastic pollution in Kano State. Shamsuddeen’s vision is to create an African society where art is adopted by youth as a tool for social change.
