Sherry Ye

Sherry combines her passion for art and the environment to address global climate challenges. She illustrated Everyone Deserves Clean Air, a children’s book on environmental injustice, and has received recognition for her environmental artwork, including Scholastic Gold and Silver Keys. As co-president of her school’s Environmental Club, she leads food drives and implements creative solutions to reducing single-use plastics and waste. She also leads local conservation projects, including invasive plant removal and trail cleanups, and designs educational guides to raise awareness of threatened local plants and wildlife. Through the Future Blue Youth Council, she’s super excited to raise awareness of the global plastic crisis and inspire change!
