Reflection

How did humans come to be? This question is in Michelangelo's point of view in the beautiful 'Creation of Adam' on ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Italy. Since I love storytelling, I wanted to convey this idea through a story. First, I needed to put out my point that the wildlife is dying because of humans. I thought of two ways to do this: discoloration and shattering. The discoloration idea came from Jaiden Animations, a youtube animator I like to watch. When drawing I remembered in one of her videos, she had mentioned her childhood pet fish turning grey due to illness. The idea of shattering came from when I was brainstorming how I can show that the fish is getting killed by the human. At the lightest touch, thin glass can break. Showing that the fish was shattering due to the human's two fingers expressed the idea that nature is fragile. I also needed to show that humans, while still want to help nature, hurt it. This process made me as the question, "How can humans help the world?", and I hope that others will think about this too, and become aware of this major problem through my drawing.
