In my art piece, I tried bringing awareness about ocean pollution and climate change. I mostly expressed the hardship with animals, unable to thrive with all the trash and melting ice. I drew penguins, polar bears, and seals with sorrowful and miserable face expressions, but one of the polar bears is shouting out, “stop!” In order to make my art piece have a strong voice, l emphasized the fact that the polar bear is exclaiming the word stop. Because of people polluting the environment, the world is changing very fast. The cause of global warming is greenhouse gases trapping the heat from Earth. The trapped gases then start warming the lower atmosphere and the surface. This is the reason why all the ice is melting and why the globe is warming. The numerous reasons for the gases being created are from exhaust fumes from the cars, factories, fossil fuel combustion and more. In the background, I drew factories that are causing major problems with the greenhouse gases. The ocean is also being heavily polluted because of all the trash that is scattered everywhere; eventually all the animals will get poisoned with the toxic chemicals from the waste, and will gradually die. I hope my art work gives a powerful message to make a difference to conserve the Earth. I want to show our next generations the beauty of nature.
