Reflection
Coral reefs are dying around the world because humans are exploiting the environment for their energy consumption, such as mining and overfishing. I decided to incorporate human residences into a predatory sea creature to show how human energy consumption can negatively affect the marine habitat. The fish is carrying the burdens of human society on their bodies. I hope to inspire others to recognize that when we try to create better habitats for ourselves, we are actually undermining the basis for survival of marine lives, even those in the deep ocean where they might seem immune to our impacts.
