Reflection

My main inspiration for this work was my passion for rock climbing. It is a big part of my life and who I am, so naturally I wanted to highlight Alex Honnold, who is a legend in the rock climbing world. His climbing achievements are amazing, just like his character. It is extraordinary how much he gives, especially whilst living in a van. I hope that with this film, viewers can change their perspective on the fight against climate change. We do not need to see it as a scary giant cliff face, but rather small individual pieces that link up, just like how Alex views it. We do not need to face the entire issue of climate change all by ourselves; rather, if we all work together little by little, we can accomplish our goals. This project also made me realize how important it is to promote equity. The world will never be able to work together against climate change unless the more fortunate support those struggling in poverty. The best actions we can take are to focus on ways to promote equity while also advancing environmental sustainability just like the Honnold Foundation. Think win-win!
