Factories with the newest technology produce 75,000 tons of Carbon Dioxide. The factories without the newest technology produce even more than that. Most of the carbon dioxide goes to the natural carbon sinks on the Earth. The ocean, one of the Earth’s largest carbon sinks is being strongly affected by the surplus of carbon dioxide in the air. Having to store this much oxygen creates problems for the ocean. The ocean acidity increases and the temperature of the water increases, causing many organisms that live in the sea to be affected. My drawing has the factory in the foreground, an iceberg with penguins in the middle, and the Earth in the background. This shows how many companies put their factories and assets before saving species and the Earth. The ocean is about to cover the island because the ocean level is rising.
