Growing up in Qingdao, a coastal city, I have been fortunate enough to experience the salty air and pristine waters. I love swimming and sailing in the sea, as well as picking up shells along the seashore. However, recent environmental degradation has made me aware of the impact we have on nature. Climate change and the suffering of animals have touched me deeply. Therefore, in my original work, I use blue plastic bags to symbolize the garbage floating in the ocean, and use struggling dance steps to represent the struggle or even suffocation of marine animals whose habitats have been destroyed. I pasted the background with plastic bottle caps of different colors symbolizing how pollution is entering the oceans of the earth, in order to raise people's awareness of the harmful effects of plastic bottle caps on marine life. In my hometown, every single person is a hero of marine protection. They've been doing conservation work, not using plastic, picking up litter at the beach. I hope that my work can be a wake-up call to others, and call on more people to pay attention to the protection of the marine environment and the homes of animals!
