Reflection

This song is based on our friend’s experience. She befriended a whale but unfortunately, he passed away. Later in the song, it was discovered that this was due to seawater acidification. Seawater acidification is the decrease in the ocean’s pH, primarily caused by the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which is a result of climate change. Advocacy and a powerful movement against climate change and the irreversible effect of the disturbance of sensitive inhabited environments are much needed. We as a team fundamentally agree on the notion against companies who largely contribute to this global issue, so we have decided to compress our feelings and thoughts about climate change. We recognize companies' significant role in contributing to climate change through their carbon emissions, pollution, and exploitation of natural resources. In response to this serious issue, we have decided to channel our feelings and thoughts about climate change into a powerful expression of activism. Through our music and creative endeavors, we aim to raise awareness, inspire action, and hold corporations accountable for their environmental impact. It is a direct message for every listener to participate in advocacy, and the general movement against further harm towards delicate environments. Amplifying our message through a catchy song may allow for the message to spread around; inspiring many to take away from the grief the narrator is able to express.
