Bow Seat’s Ocean Awareness Contest Honored as a Finalist in the Sustainability, Environment & Climate Education Program Category in The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards
December 15, 2023Boston, Massachusetts – Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs announced today that our Ocean Awareness Contest has been named as a Finalist in the Sustainability, Environment & Climate Education Program Category in The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards.
Bow Seat’s annual Contest is the world’s largest youth environmental program for the creative arts. Every year, the Contest invites youth to learn about and explore the connections between human activities and the health of our natural world through visual and performing arts, creative writing, film, and multimedia. More than 32,000 middle and high schoolers from all 50 U.S. states and over 140 countries have participated in the program, which has been at the forefront of introducing youth to critical issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, environmental justice, and endangered species.
Anthem Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The Anthem Awards was launched in response to the prevalence social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years. The 3rd Annual competition received over 2,000 entries from more than 30 countries worldwide. A portion of program revenue is allocated to our grant program, The Anthem Fund.
