The ocean is dying
So do your part to save it
The ozone is crying
So do your part to save it

It’s global warming
Global temperatures are soaring The need for change is imploring The ocean floor
Has never seen such pollution before My issues are yours
So I’m changing course
Of course
Factories are mighty convenient Yes but in the evening
There are a million stars in the sky
Why don’t you see anyone of them shine?

Emissions of carbon dioxide
From fires they rise
From factories, fuels to the skies These are the greenhouse gases
Along with methane and nitrous oxide We keep burning fossil fuels
To continue industrialization
But sit back patient
‘Cause by the year of 2100
It be too late to quit on this sensation Our nation’s preservation
Is in the hands of the congregation It’s our job to the changes
Cut the furnace in your home
Buy a new electric stove
Invest in renewable energy
Every person can play a big role ‘Cause if this continues
Some melting will ensue
And well say buh-bye to the Poles

The ocean is dying
So do your part to save it
The ozone is crying
So do your part to save it

It’s global warming
Global temperatures are soaring The need for change is imploring The ocean floor
Has never seen such pollution before My issues are yours
So I’m changing course
Of course
Factories are mighty convenient Yes but in the evening
There are a million stars in the sky
Why don’t you see anyone of them shine?

Oceans are rising
Fishes are dying
All of the plastics
They keep multiplying
We trying to minimize
Air pollution
But trust me that’s not the only solution Sustainable cars
Reusable jars
Reducing your waste
That will really go far
If must stop species from going extinct Do your part! Change how you think! Asian elephants and the bumblebees
All their populations continue to shrink Along with the corals
What are our morals?
They are all bleached white
When they used to be pink
The single culprit is increasing heat Without a change
This cycle is doomed to repeat
But if we all just commit to the movement
Climate change is something we’ll defeat

The ocean is dying
So do your part to save it
The ozone is crying
So do your part to save it

It’s global warming
Global temperatures are soaring The need for change is imploring The ocean floor
Has never seen such pollution before My issues are yours
So I’m changing course
Of course
Factories are mighty convenient Yes but in the evening
There are a million stars in the sky
Why don’t you see anyone of them shine?

We can make a difference
If we stand together
If we change our ways
We can change the weather
Be cautious of your carbon footprint If you follow these rules
The world will be safe forever

It’s global warming
Global temperatures are soaring The need for change is imploring The ocean floor
Has never seen such pollution before My issues are yours
So I’m changing course
Of course
Factories are mighty convenient Yes but in the evening

Reflection
Reflection

My song was meant to send the message to all listeners to do their part when it comes to fighting climate change. Global warming was in issue created as a result of a collective effort. The drastic changes to the environment were not made by a single person, thus, its reverse cannot be achieved by a single person either. Every person needs to be mindful of their carbon footprint, which is based upon how much one takes from the environment, and how much waste they give in return. This rap was intended to educate its listeners about the causes and prevention methods of climate change. During creative deliberation, I decided on hip-hop as my genre because that is the most popular type of music today. I figured that if I wanted to most effectively relay a messages as important as this, I would be in a way that would resonate with the most people. I feel very blessed to have a musical talent, so I am dedicated to share it with the world in a meaningful way.
