Reflection

It is astonishing that more than 3 billion people depend on marine biodiversity for their livelihoods. Goal 14 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals is “Life Below Water”, the goal of protecting marine and coastal ecosystems from pollution and harm. I hope this short video 1. raises awareness for North Atlantic Right Whales and other endangered marine species and 2. sheds light on humans’ impacts on marine ecosystems. I created an infographic video because I think these types of videos are highly effective in explaining ideas and conveying compelling messages for change. I have always been interested in creating short videos and films, and this was my first time making an animated infographic video. In the future, I hope to use what I learned from creating this video to make videos for other causes.
