Fellowship Grant Program
Funding & Mentorship for Emerging Youth Environmental Projects
If you care about environmental issues and want to make a difference in your community, we invite you to participate in the Fellowship Grant Program! The Fellowship is an initiative created and led by the Future Blue Youth Council (FBYC), a diverse group of Bow Seat alumni working together to empower their peers to advocate for a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future.
The Fellowship Grant Program provides mentorship and funding of up to $2,500 to youth who are developing projects that address environmental challenges in their local communities.
Projects may be of any duration, as long as they meet the Fellowship goals:

Educate the public about an environmental problem

Engage others in activities that address the environmental issue

Integrate the creative arts and environmental conservation
The Fellowship’s environmental theme is a broad one, and there are a wide variety of related issues. Check out this link for examples of potential topics. This list is by no means exhaustive, so feel free to be creative or to think more broadly about your project.
Need more inspiration? Check out these ideas and examples of creative environmental projects:
- Simple Projects with a Big Impact
- Youth projects from Bow Seat’s Marine Debris Creative Advocacy Competition
