Reflection
I began looking through local issues, and found that the Chesapeake Bay is experiencing a rise in jellyfish. Looking more into the causes of increased jellyfish populations around the world, I found that it came from two causes: overfishing and global warming. I learned a lot about the history of salmon fishing, legislation that was revolutionary in the American fishing industry, and even how other countries took advantage of the American fishing industry to profit. I wanted to show how our perspective on climate change wasn’t serious enough and how we continued to hope that it would be resolved in the future until it was too late. I also wanted the audience to ask the question: "in a world where many don’t believe that climate change is an issue, how can we overcome and make the world safe for future generations?"
