75% of California has suffered severe or extreme drought since 2014. California’s climate change caused extreme temperatures and reduced rainfall. These changes have led to more droughts and forest fires. Unfortunately, forest fires often occur where I live in Southern California. Air quality has posed a risk on the living animals around the area. The availability of water has dramatically dropped and therefore destroyed agricultural productivity and threaten coastal ecosystem. My illustration depicts a scene where the ocean animals have rise up to the sky in blocks of ice, contrasted to the ground which has broken apart due to droughts and fires. It creates a clear view that in the future, it would be hard for the ocean animals to survive on our planet if the global warming keeps on happening.
