My illustration consists of my sad and hopeful feelings about climate change and how I wish the future to be like. The polluted sky represents our contaminated vast ocean. It shows how the beautiful marine life creatures are dying from the temperature difference, having health issues because of ocean debris, and losing their homes. This is all our fault. As humans, we emit greenhouse gas and other harmful substances into the air, which warms up our planet and the ocean. So, a penguin pays a visit to a local city, where the residents soon realize what they have done. Many are anxious and regretful of their actions, causing them to continuously worry. They have hope for the future, but not the courage to take action. However, there are still people who are optimistic and brave. As shown, these people are protesting to be benevolent and prevent the worst of this worldwide crisis. Some are talking to the uncertain people and encouraging them to help. You may have noticed that some of the protesters are holding up signs with a picture of a heart. This means that they care for the world and their citizens' feelings. To clarify, the heart represents respect. This is a story told by the grandmother on the upper portion of my illustration. She is telling this story to her beloved grandson, who feels proud of his grandmother and the benevolent people. My work is inspired by all the courageous fighters, such as protesters and advocates, who battles for the future of our world and ocean. I have come to understand that we, people, can fight climate change together. I have been given hope by all the benevolent citizens of our world who are fighting for the future. I hope that we will be able to tell this story to our children in the future, and make them feel proud of us. Let's take action together now!
