Water Privilege
Chloe Veitzer
Erie, CO
2021, Junior, Art (2014 – 2023)
Reflection

Throughout my life, I've always had steady access to water, food, shelter, education, and all of the other resources I needed to not only survive, but to thrive in this world. With my piece, I wanted to portray the feeling of realizing your privilege. Even though I have the bare minimum (steady access to water), it is still considered a privilege, which is genuinely sad and disgusting. Every single person deserves access to clean and healthy water. With this piece, I hope to further acknowledge my privilege and push this idea out to others who may not understand this disparity between communities.
