At least 60 million girls in the world don’t have access to education- these numbers are extremely worrying and have to end. Education should be accessible to all girls in all countries. Girls' education and women's empowerment have a big impact on global warming. We live in a patriarchal society: women have fewer rights and are treated with less respect- a major setback that needs to be changed. Research shows that high school graduates tend to start a family later. Since global warming is mostly caused by humans, if population growth slowed, it could help in our efforts to stop global warming. If more girls could study and if at least half of them graduated from high school, global warming could be slowed considerably. Additionally, if more girls had access to education, they could help solve problems that come up in the future. Even though there are still many countries that don’t allow girls to go to school and other factors such as poverty, child labor, etc. force girls to drop out of school, we have to be very hopeful that someday all girls will have access to education and will grow to make the world a better place.
