November 21, 2022During yet another year of record-breaking floods, droughts, wildfires, heat waves, and other catastrophic threats to life on Earth, teachers leveraged the Ocean Awareness Contest to provide hands-on, interdisciplinary learning about the climate crisis and to engage their students in creative action. We are thrilled to recognize the most effective of these teachers with the 2022 Educator Innovation Awards!
The 2022 Ocean Awareness Contest, The Funny Thing About Climate Change, challenged participants to create innovative pieces that subvert expectations for what climate change messaging typically looks like through humor or other fresh approaches.
