The polar bear on the tightrope portrays the emotion of being in a tight space. As glaciers melt in the sea, the polar bear is moving to a bigger, safer one. The irony behind the drawing is that people are watching this as if it were a circus or some type of show, as if they aren’t part of this crisis. This ignorance compares to the reality of our unawareness and unconcerned civilization today. Our planet is suffering but for most of us, life still goes on. I wanted to aim at young audiences and hold up a mirror to show that this is the situation we are in right now.
