The Bow Seat Student Art Exhibit features the award-winning work of middle and high school students from around the world who brilliantly combined art, ocean science, and conservation in recent Ocean Awareness Student Contests.
We invited young people ages 11-18 around the world to explore the relationship between humans and the ocean. Exhibited works are a selection of their responses―their revelations, reflections, and elegies. The artists question, critique, mourn, imagine, and hope.
Through their creative exploration of critical environmental issues, these young artists expose what is happening to our ocean; question the structures and systems that have brought us to this point; reflect and reshape what it means to be a human in the 21st century; discover and advocate for solutions on personal and planetary scales; and inspire a culture of respect and action for all life on our blue planet.
