Program Alumni – Apply Now for a Paid TikTok Internship
June 29, 2022We’re looking for an intern who can help us launch our new TikTok account by creating educational, inspiring, fun, and share-worthy content to amplify Bow Seat’s work, uplift youth voices, and build relationships.
This position is open to past participants of one of Bow Seat’s programs (i.e., Ocean Awareness Contest; Healthy Whale, Healthy Ocean Challenge; Marine Debris Creative Advocacy Competition; etc.). It is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours (approximately 10 hours/week), with an hourly wage of $20/hour. This will be for a 6-month term, with the option to extend based on performance and interest.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Bow Seat team in developing a TikTok strategy to meet organizational goals
- Film, edit, and post 8-12 videos per month
- Engage with TikTok followers and monitor conversations
- Work with Bow Seat’s Social Media Manager to review insights/analytics to gauge and improve the effectiveness of our TikTok strategy
- Potentially host Instagram and Facebook Lives, podcasts, etc.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- College or mature high school student with significant experience as a TikTok creator professionally (at work, an internship, or school) and/or personally
- Strong understanding of what makes content resonate on TikTok
- Loves being on camera
- Exceptional video editing/digital media production skills
- Commitment to keeping up with evolving TikTok trends and best practices
- Keen eye for design
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially with multiple audiences in a variety of voices
- Adept in Google Workspace
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with sharp attention to detail and conscientious follow-through; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a remote work setting
- An innate, insatiable curiosity and desire to learn and grow
- Energetic spirit and positive attitude
- Passion for environmental conservation and Bow Seat’s mission
- Experience working with youth a plus
